Participants of the 27th General Council of WCRC

Chiang Mai, Thailand: The Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) General Secretary extended greetings to delegates and participants of the 27th General Council of the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC), which is being held in Chiang Mai from 14 to 23 October 2025.

In his message delivered on 14 October at the opening plenary, General Secretary Dr Mathews George Chunakara conveyed greetings on behalf of CCA, highlighting the significance of the Council’s theme, “Persevere in Your Witness”.

The CCA General Secretary stated, “The theme of your General Council ‘Persevere in Your Witness’ is most pertinent in today’s global context. It is indeed an opportunity to reflect on the enormous challenges we face as we continue to witness Christ, our saviour, liberator and sustainer. The reflection on this theme from biblical, theological, missiological, and socio-political perspectives will greatly enrich our shared commitment to the common mission of working towards unity and transformation in service of the God of Life.”

Dr Chunakara also acknowledged the WCRC’s ongoing mission to strengthen unity among Reformed churches worldwide and to foster ecumenical collaboration beyond denominational boundaries. He prayed for God’s guidance over the General Council’s deliberations and celebrations, wishing participants God’s richest blessings.

The message of the CCA General Secretary was delivered by Rev. Prof. Dr Pradit Takerngrangsarit, CCA Executive Committee Member and President of the CCA Foundation in Thailand.
