A Prayer for The Philippines
A Moment in Prayer : On the trail of Typhoon Haiyan
The CCA and the participants of the 10th Assembly of the World Council of Churches remembered in prayer, our brothers and sisters in Central Philippines, who have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan. We pray for the people stranded in the hardest hit areas, where there has been widespread rain and flooding.
We are deeply concerned and anxious to hear that this is one of the strongest storms ever recorded. Forecasts have warned of potentially catastrophic damage, and predicted that after roaring across the Philippines, Haiyan is expected to move into the South China Sea and eventually hit Vietnam and Laos over the weekend, still as a typhoon. Our heart goes out to the people who are in the path of the devastating trail of this storm and we pray that the good Lord will protect you and bring you help, relief and assistance.
