International Women's Day 8th March 2013
The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's/sister's blood cries out to me from the ground. Genesis 4:10
Hi friends,
The Gender Justice Program Area (EGY) would like to share with you a Liturgy prepared by Very Rev. Pamela Tankersley of the Presbyterian Church Aotearoa for International Women's day, March 8, 2013. Click here
" It is written remembering the brutal gang rape in India on December 16, 2012. A 23-year-old medical student died in a Singapore hospital on December 29 from the massive internal injuries she sustained during the savage bus assault a fortnight earlier, which caused outrage across India and the world."
We are inviting you to spend a 4 day period meditating seriously on the atrocities on women and children all over the world. Let us not forget that each and every woman is a mother, sister, wife, or daughter to someone in the world, and therefore as precious. Let us spread the word.
More Liturgical sources and reflections will be shared over the next 4 days.
Thanking you,
In prayer and solidarity
Sunila Ammar
